Made from dehulled oats. Used for a full bodied flavour and a creamy / silky texture. Can be used up to 30% of grist total. Typically used at a rate of 5-25% for an Oatmeal Stout. A small percentage of flaked oats may also be used in Belgian Wit beers.
Flaked oats do not need to be milled as they have already been rolled flat and toasted. Add it to the mash as is.
Approximately 1.0-1.5° L in colour.
