The stainless steel quick disconnects on the hoses we use can get pretty warm, so when connecting and disconnecting so we sometimes use heat resistant gloves. Most useful after we've gone up to 168F mashout temperature.
They're made of Dupont Nomex and Kevlar heat resistant fibers with a non-slip silicone grip. Since they're meant to protect up to oven temperatures (480F) they work very well for our lower temperatures as we never go above 212F.
The individual fingers provide enough dexterity to turn valves and disconnect / connect hoses without problems.
If you want to use them in the kitchen as well (their original intended use), we recommend the ones with extra long cuffs.
