A copper pre-chiller (shown in picture) is popular in regions where groundwater temperature is less than optimal for chilling wort. The pre-chiller is placed between your water supply and the wort chiller, and is used to lower the temperature of your chilling water. To use, place the pre-chiller in a bucket full of ice water.
Most pre-chillers come with garden hose fittings. If hooking up to your sink, use a faucet to garden hose adapter.
