*Sandpaper is not required if building from one of our control panel kits as our enclosures are custom made for us such that there is no need to move the ground post, no need to seal and sand the bottom cable plate, and no need to prime and paint as the enclosure is already professionally powder coated with an industrial flat textured charcoal/black finish.
To smooth the metal surface before priming we recommend starting with a medium grit sandpaper, and then finishing with very fine grit. (The lower the number, the larger the abrasive particles. Larger particles remove more material but create more noticeable scratches).
