Used in:
Base malt for many Scottish and British beer styles. Golden Promise is an early-maturing spring barley, basically the Scottish equivalent of Maris Otter. It has a bit more sweetness than Maris Otter which has more a bready richness. Golden Promise is also used in several famous whiskeys.
To reduce cost, we suggest purchasing your most used base malts by the sack (50-55 lbs) instead of by the pound.
Approximately 2.1-3.0° L in colour.
