Hallertau Saphir (or Sapphire) is a German aroma hop released in 2002, known for its noble-like profile with pronounced sweet citrus (tangerine), spicy, and floral notes. It features low alpha acids and is ideal for lagers, pilsners, and Belgian styles, offering a modern, fruity twist to traditional profiles.

Note that Hallertau is a growing region in Germany and not a specific hop variety. The Hallertau region grows many types of hops with different flavours and properties.

Typical alpha: 2.0-4.5%

Possible substitutions: Hallertau Mittelfruh, Tettnanger, Spalter Select, Mount Hood
